Mapping the Development Boom in Flushing, Queens
The neighborhood has seen a massive increase in new projects in the last couple of years.
Flushing had mostly staved off the large-scale development that has, in decades past, sprouted up in other parts of Queens like Astoria and Long Island City. That certainly hasn't been the case in the last couple of years, however, as new projects are announced with much greater frequency. At Curbed, we're looking at projects both big and small that are completely transforming the Flushing landscape. From the massive residential project at Sky View Parc to the controversial megamall planned at Willets Point, Flushing isn't just a bastion for immigrant communities in the far reaches of Queens anymore, but an area that's attracting more developers everyday.
